What our parking lot design includes
A parking lot is a balance between capacity, safety and cost. We test layouts at different stall angles and aisle widths to fit the required count, check turning movements for cars, delivery trucks and fire apparatus, and place accessible spaces on the shortest accessible route to the entrance.
Pavement sections come from the geotechnical report and expected traffic: lighter sections for car parking, heavier sections for truck routes and dumpster pads. The plan set includes striping and signage, grading for drainage within the slope limits of accessible areas, and details for curbs, wheel stops and transitions.
Parking lots are drained and graded through our grading and drainage plans; site layouts for permits are covered by site plan drawings.

Pavement and Parking Lot Design standards in the USA, UK, Canada and Australia
We set up every project on the standard of the country where it will be built or manufactured. These are the references we work to most often:
| Country | Standards and codes we draft pavement and parking lot design to |
|---|---|
| USA | Local zoning parking codes, 2010 ADA Standards (accessible spaces per total count, 1 van space per 6 accessible), AASHTO design vehicles |
| UK | Local authority parking standards, BS 8300 and Traffic Advisory Leaflet guidance on disabled parking, Manual for Streets |
| Canada | Municipal zoning bylaws, CSA B651 accessible design, TAC Geometric Design Guide |
| Australia | AS/NZS 2890.1 off-street car parking, AS/NZS 2890.6 parking for people with disabilities, AS 2890.2 commercial vehicles |
Engineering responsibility: we prepare drawings, models and calculations as a drafting and design-support team. Where the law in your state, province or council requires it, the final design must be reviewed, signed and sealed by the licensed engineer or architect of record for the project. We work to their markups and do not stamp drawings ourselves.
How our pavement and parking lot design process works
- 1Send your files
Upload sketches, PDFs, markups, photos, scans or a model through the quote form. Tell us the standard (US, UK, Canada or Australia) and the deadline.
- 2Fixed quote in hours
We review the scope and reply with a fixed price, the deliverables list and a delivery date. Nothing starts until you approve it.
- 3Drafting & modeling
Your project is drawn in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, SolidWorks or the software you use, on your title block, layers and templates.
- 4QA check
A second drafter checks dimensions, annotations, layer standards, sheet numbering and cross-references against your input before anything is sent.
- 5Delivery & revisions
You receive native files plus PDFs. Comments come back as markups and we revise them quickly until the set matches the brief.
Turnaround and pricing
A parking layout with options takes 2–4 business days; the full pavement and striping set 4–7 days. Every job is priced as a fixed quote after we review your files, so you know the cost and the delivery date before work starts. See how our pricing works, or send your files through the quote form for a quick estimate.
