What our Title 24 compliance service includes
Every California building permit that affects energy use – new homes, ADUs, additions, HVAC changes, lighting in commercial spaces – must show compliance with the California Energy Code. Projects can comply prescriptively (meeting each listed requirement) or through the performance approach, where software shows the design uses no more energy than the standard design. The performance route usually gives more design flexibility.
We model the building in CEC-approved software, test options when it does not pass (better windows, insulation, heat pump water heaters, PV sizing), and prepare the compliance forms and the energy notes for the plans. The 2025 Energy Code applies to permit applications from January 1, 2026; projects submitted earlier may still fall under the 2022 code.
Title 24 work is usually paired with HVAC load calculations and residential drafting. Rooftop PV requirements link to solar design.

Title 24 Compliance Services standards in the USA, UK, Canada and Australia
We set up every project on the standard of the country where it will be built or manufactured. These are the references we work to most often:
| Country | Standards and codes we draft Title 24 compliance services to |
|---|---|
| USA | California Code of Regulations Title 24, Part 6 (Energy Code) – 2022 edition and the 2025 edition effective January 1, 2026; Part 11 CALGreen mandatory measures |
| UK | Not applicable – UK projects use Building Regulations Part L with SAP/SBEM (we can draft Part L details) |
| Canada | Not applicable – Canadian projects use NECB 2020 or provincial energy codes (e.g. OBC SB-12) |
| Australia | Not applicable – Australian projects use NCC Section J and NatHERS ratings |
Engineering responsibility: we prepare drawings, models and calculations as a drafting and design-support team. Where the law in your state, province or council requires it, the final design must be reviewed, signed and sealed by the licensed engineer or architect of record for the project. We work to their markups and do not stamp drawings ourselves.
How our Title 24 compliance services process works
- 1Send your files
Upload sketches, PDFs, markups, photos, scans or a model through the quote form. Tell us the standard (US, UK, Canada or Australia) and the deadline.
- 2Fixed quote in hours
We review the scope and reply with a fixed price, the deliverables list and a delivery date. Nothing starts until you approve it.
- 3Drafting & modeling
Your project is drawn in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, SolidWorks or the software you use, on your title block, layers and templates.
- 4QA check
A second drafter checks dimensions, annotations, layer standards, sheet numbering and cross-references against your input before anything is sent.
- 5Delivery & revisions
You receive native files plus PDFs. Comments come back as markups and we revise them quickly until the set matches the brief.
Turnaround and pricing
Residential Title 24 reports are typically delivered in 2–4 business days; commercial reports are quoted by scope. Every job is priced as a fixed quote after we review your files, so you know the cost and the delivery date before work starts. See how our pricing works, or send your files through the quote form for a quick estimate.
