This policy explains how DraftPoint CAD ("we", "us") handles personal information and project files when you use draftpointcad.com, or email us.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us: name, email, phone number (optional), country and company.
- Project information and files you send for a quote or project, such as drawings, sketches, models and photos.
- Technical data collected automatically: IP address, browser type and pages visited, used for security and, if enabled, website analytics (Google Analytics).
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
- To carry out and deliver your project, and to invoice you.
- To keep the website secure and prevent spam (for example, rate limits on our forms).
- To understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the website so we can improve it.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your project files for anything other than your quote and project.
Legal bases (UK/EU visitors)
We process your data to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, to perform a contract, for our legitimate interests in running and securing our business, and – for analytics cookies where required – with your consent.
Confidentiality of project files
Project files are accessible only to the people working on your project. We sign non-disclosure agreements on request. Files uploaded through the website are stored outside the public web folder. We delete project files on request, or when they are no longer needed for the project and our legal record-keeping.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers who help us run our business (such as web hosting, email, cloud storage and analytics), under appropriate safeguards, or where the law requires it. Because our team works from Pakistan for clients in other countries, your data may be processed outside your country.
How long we keep data
Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within 24 months. Project and invoicing records are kept as long as needed for the project and for legal and tax purposes.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the UK GDPR, Canada's PIPEDA, the Australian Privacy Act or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Email info@draftpointcad.com and we will respond within one month.
Cookies
The website uses only cookies needed for it to work and, if enabled, Google Analytics cookies to measure visits. You can block cookies in your browser settings.
