These terms apply to work carried out by DraftPoint CAD unless a written agreement or accepted quote says otherwise. If a quote and these terms conflict, the quote applies.
1. Quotes and scope
Each project is based on a written quote that describes the scope, deliverables, revision rounds, price and delivery date. Work outside that scope – including changes to the design brief after work has started – is quoted separately before we carry it out.
2. Your information
We rely on the drawings, measurements, specifications and instructions you provide. You are responsible for their accuracy and for confirming dimensions on site. Where information is missing or conflicting, we raise questions; delays in answers may move the delivery date.
3. Professional responsibility
DraftPoint CAD provides drafting, modeling, rendering and design-support services. We are not the architect, engineer or surveyor of record for your project and we do not seal or stamp drawings. Where laws or authorities require it, drawings and calculations must be reviewed, approved and sealed by a suitably licensed professional engaged by you, who takes design responsibility for the project. Code references and calculations we prepare are provided to support that professional's review.
4. Revisions
Each quote states the number of revision rounds included. Revision requests should be sent as one consolidated set of markups per round.
5. Delivery and acceptance
Work is delivered electronically in the formats stated in the quote. Please review deliverables within 14 days and tell us about any errors against the agreed scope; we correct them at no charge.
6. Payment
Payment terms are stated on the quote. We may pause work on overdue accounts.
7. Ownership
Once paid in full, you own the drawings, models and files we produce for your project. We may keep copies for our records. We will not show your project publicly (for example in a portfolio) without your written permission.
8. Confidentiality
We keep your files and project information confidential and use them only for your project. We sign your NDA on request.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any project is limited to the fees paid for that project, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Website content
Information on draftpointcad.com, including code references and guides, is general information and not professional advice for a specific project. Codes and standards change; always confirm current requirements with your authority and professionals.
